We get it, starting something new can be really scary and nerve wracking. Before you book in/show up, we want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible, so hopefully these answers give some clarity. Can't find what you're looking for? Feel free to message us via our contact form, Instagram or Facebook.

I am unfit/ have zero level of flexibility. Can I still join?

Yes! Everyone starts somewhere. We teach people from absolute beginner level, and there are no pre requirements for joining. We encourage people to come as they are, the strength and flexibility will build over time.

I'm desperate to try, but my anxiety is holding me back. Any advice?

This is our MOST frequently asked question. We understand how daunting it can be starting something new, and we just want you to know that we have your back. Our main priority in class is that everyone feels at ease, and all of our instructors are vey empathetic and understanding towards people struggling with low confidence or anxiety. If you need a little extra reassurance, feel free to message us.

Can I drop into classes, or do I need to buy a block/membership?

We allow drop ins for all classes, however courses must be booked as a whole. If you plan on attending regularly, a monthly membership will work out a lot cheaper.

I'm plus size. Can I still attend?

Of course! We welcome people of all shapes and sizes, and have worked tirelessly to create a body positive and inclusive environment. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to improve their fitness and feel good about themselves, and we are very proud to offer that at Central Pole Dance.

Am I too old to Pole?

Absolutely not! You are only as old as you feel. If you want to try our classes, do not let a number hold you back. We have clients of many ages (18+) who attend our classes.

I'm not sure which class to book. Can you help?

We would recommend starting with either our Beginner Pole class, (Thursdays at 7pm), or with one of our Beginners Dance courses (times and dates vary) if you are new to pole. If you are unable to attend either of these, our "Pole Fitness" classes are mixed ability and completely suitable for beginners

I want to start, but I am scared to come on my own. Any advice?

We personally think coming on your own is the best way to do it when starting Pole. We get it, its unbelievably scary and nerve wracking, but by throwing yourself in at the deep end, we find people are more likely to focus on themselves, meet new like-minded people and thrive.

Can I start if I am under 18?

We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to participate in our classes.

Where are you based?

We are based in Stirling. Our address is:

Unit 150, Stirling Enterprise Park

Springbank Road

How do I find you/enter the studio?

We are located inside Stirling Enterprise Park. Please note, we do not have an external door, entry is gained via entrance A of the building. If the door is locked, please wait outside, we check the door 5 minutes before and on the class start time.

I'm running late. Can I still join?

We do not allow latecomers to join our sessions. It is mandatory that all participants complete the warm up. If you are late to class, please do not try and enter.

What should I bring to class?

All you need to bring for your first class is some water and a sweat towel. For our dance classes, knee pads and socks are essential.

Is there parking available?

We have a free car park right outside our doors.

What should I wear for Pole Fitness?

We highly recommend wearing or at least bringing shorts. But the main thing is that you feel comfortable, so if you're not quite there yet, don't worry leggings/joggers will be fine for the first couple of classes.

What if I need to cancel a class?

We get it - life happens. If you need to cancel, this can all be done via our booking system. Please note, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy, so no refunds or adjustments will be made if you cancel within this time.

I've booked a course and can no longer make 1 or more of the dates. Can I transfer or get a refund?

All courses are non refundable and non transferable, so we will be unable to move or refund any sessions.

Are you near a train/bus station?

We are located just outside Stirling city centre, and are a 5/10 minute walk from the train and bus station.

What should I wear for Pole Dance?

Knee pads and socks are absolutely essential for our dance classes. Heels are welcome (only pleaser/hella style shoes allowed), but not essential. Our advice, dress in something that makes you feel good.

How many people will be in each class?

We have a limit of 2 people per pole, so the absolute limit will be 12 people per class. For our dance classes, the limit is 10 as the instructor also requires a pole.

Can men attend?

We are an inclusive space, so we welcome people of all genders. This is with the understanding that all members remain respectful to others.

When can I try a Pole Dance class?

We ask that you complete at least regular Pole Fitness classes, or a Beginners Pole course before booking a Pole Dance class. If you are unsure, please check with your instructor beforehand.
