I'm desperate to try, but my anxiety is holding me back. Any advice?
This is our MOST frequently asked question. We understand how daunting it can be starting something new, and we just want you to know that we have your back. Our main priority in class is that everyone feels at ease, and all of our instructors are vey empathetic and understanding towards people struggling with low confidence or anxiety. If you need a little extra reassurance, feel free to message us.
Can I drop into classes, or do I need to buy a block/membership?
We allow drop ins for our standard classes, however courses must be booked as a whole. If you plan on attending regularly, a monthly membership will work out a lot more cost effective.
I'm plus size. Can I still attend?
Of course! We welcome people of all shapes and sizes, and have worked tirelessly to create a body positive and inclusive environment. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to improve their fitness and feel good about themselves, and we are very proud to offer that at Central Pole Dance.
Am I too old to Pole?
Absolutely not! You are only as old as you feel. If you want to try our classes, do not let a number hold you back. We have clients of many ages (18+) who attend our classes.
I'm not sure which class to book. Can you help?
If you are new to pole, you should start with one of our Intro to Pole courses to learn the fundamentals. If you have some experience, any of our mixed level classes will be suitable.
I want to start, but I am scared to come on my own. Any advice?
We personally think coming on your own is the best way to do it when starting Pole. We get it, its unbelievably scary and nerve wracking, but by throwing yourself in at the deep end, we find people are more likely to focus on themselves, meet new like-minded people and thrive.
Can I start if I am under 18?
We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to participate in our classes.

We are located just outside Stirling city centre, and are a 5/10 minute walk from the train and bus station.
I'm too nervous to wear shorts. Can I still attend?
The main thing to us is that you are comfortable, so if you'd prefer not to wear shorts, it won't be an issue. However, it will compromise skin grip, making some fitness moves a lot more difficult.
How many people will be in each class?
We have a limit of 2 people per pole, so the absolute limit will be 12 people per class. For our dance classes, the limit is 10 as the instructor also requires a pole.
Can men attend?
We are an inclusive space, so we welcome people of all genders. This is with the understanding that all members remain respectful to others.
What happens after completing an Intro to Pole course?
You can either book straight into one of our mixed ability classes, or you can also retake the course if you'd prefer to go over it all one more time.
